Public FMCSA data
Safety figures are computed from datasets FMCSA publishes openly, including your DOT number, inspections, and violations. We did not obtain this from you and we cannot correct it — corrections to FMCSA data go through the Request for Data Review process, which is what this service helps you prepare.
Personal fields present in those files — vehicle identification numbers, licence plates, decal numbers — are removed before the data reaches the calculation store, and their absence is verified automatically on every run.
Your email address
Contact addresses come from the public FMCSA carrier census. They are held separately from the calculation data, used only to send you alerts about your own DOT number, and never sold or shared.
One-click unsubscribe is in every message and is processed without delay. An address that has unsubscribed is kept on a suppression list permanently — that is what stops us from contacting you again, and it is required by CAN-SPAM.
Documents you upload
Documents uploaded for the paid check are stored encrypted, separate from all safety-figure processing, and deleted automatically under a retention policy. Their contents are not written to logs, and the calculation side of the service has no access to them.
